This is one of our latest installations on a Maritimo 48. Ocean Phase Marine installed a 045 Ocean TV satellite antenna to operate four TV's with in the boat. Each TV has its own free to air receiver providing individual control to each TV from the satellite antenna.
The installation was straight forward, firstly the radar was moved forward to allow room for the satellite antenna and strut. The strut was used so the satellite antenna could receive a direct signal from the satellites in the sky without interference from the radar.
The coaxial cables were run through the boat with a 12VDC power supply to each TV and receiver - flybridge, saloon, port cabin and the forward cabin. Each free to air receiver was mounted out of sight with a remote eye transmitter mounted to the face of the TV. This made the install very clean, professional and did not take up any room on bench tops or counters. HDMI leads then linked the receivers to each TV for a clear and reliable picture. We also connected each TV to its own Fusion stereo unit for surround sound.
Once the installation was finalised, we registered the free to air receivers online and waited for the hit to our satellite antenna. The satellite got the hit, tuned the channels and we could see that we have more than 100 free to air channels throughout Australia on each TV. The satellite antenna auto tunes all channels and will lock onto the satellite in the sky where ever the boat travels to. The installation was all done in one day which makes the owners happy knowing their boat is ready to use by the day after and not out of action for the weekend.

HELLA LED FLOODLIGHTS
Ocean Phase Marine installed 2 x HELLA AS 5000 LED Narrow Beam Flood Lights to this US made Hydra Sports 3500. Equipped with 24 high-performance LED's, these powerful white light HELLA LED Flood Lights output 5000 lumens. Featuring a stainless steel mounting bracket and a robust aluminum die-cast housing these LED lights are perfect for the harsh marine environment.
The owner of the Hydra Sports 3500 asked us to go all out in installing the best and brightest lights possible. His want was simple: ''to be able to flick a switch to see at sea''. This let him navigate back to port in the dark and maneuver the boat with easily onto the mooring . The Narrow Beam model we opted for allows LED light to shoot forward beyond the ships bow up to 70 metres highlighting the path ahead.
The HELLA AS 5000 LED Narrow Beam Lights have proved to be very practical and useful for fishing, motoring, and navigating during the night. It has given the owner a longer period of time to go fishing, knowing that he can rely on his HELLA LED Flood Lights to get him home in the dark safely. This is a great solution for any night time angler, commuter or boat enthusiast.
The VR Storm 2200 Stainless steel windlass by Muir Winches epitomises the latest in anchor windlass technology. With a 1200 watt motor and a max load of 1000kg this winch is built for the most violent sea conditions. Ocean Phase Marine installed the Muir VR2200 to the Hydra Sports 3500 as an upgrade. Previously running an older less powerful windlass the owner had experienced problems with losing anchors, the gearbox seizing and motor not being able to pull up the anchor in a heavy sea. After we sat down and worked out a plan we came up with a solution that the Muir VR2200 1200W 12V Windlass would do the job adequately. This winch is usually fitted to vessels in the 12-15 metre range, however for the 35ft Hydra Sports it would be able to last and endure the conditions of the sea over and over again without any snags, motor seizing or burning out under load. This has given the owner trust in his windlass and confidence to go offshore and drop the anchor without the worry.
